Did an amazing cruise from Barcelona - Rome in August.  Got to see some bucket list places.  We sailed on the Regal Princess in a balcony cabin.  I truly believe that if you are going to cruise - a balcony is the way to go.  So nice to sit there in the mornings as we sailed into Port and them to watch the city lights fade as we sailed away.  Love it.  We spent 2 days in Barcelona before we embarked and what a beautiful city!  Parc Guell was a big hit with us absolutely stunning views.  We visited La Sagrada Familia and could not believe how beautiful it was inside and out!  The balconies of La Pedrera-Casa Mila are not to be missed.  Our first Stop was Gibraltar - I wasn't sure on if I really wanted to see this island - but I am so glad we did. Took the tram right to the top and wandered around with the monkeys (they were awesome) making our way to Saint Michael's Cave - the light show was breathtaking.  Then we decided we should take the Tram back down - but we were more them half way down ...so we walked approx. 600 steps UP.  Totally worth it. Our nest stop brought us to Marseille France. We didn't take a tour here, we got off the ship and took the shuttle into the main part of town.  Wandered about and saw the Vieu-Port (old port) and the Basilique Notre-Dame de la garde, and then just enjoyed the views and the day.  Our next port was interesting!  We arrived in Genoa after a night of high winds and rain with the hope to get to Cinque Terre.  We boarded the bus at 630am and started, we made it to the fist of the 5 small villages and  out of the blue a mini hurricane came through!!!  We had to take cover in a small shop for 30 minutes till it was safe.  Once we emerged there were pieces of the terra cotta roofs on the ground, furniture thrown around and trees and leaves everywhere.  We hoped to be able to continue - but the railways and many roads were impassable.  Princess made the call to have us brought back to the ship.  BY lunch time we were back in Genoa with the sun shinning and frowns on our faces.  We did however get a beautiful afternoon wandering dockside.  Cinque Terre is still on the list!  On we went to the Port of Livorno, here we boarded the bus and made our way to the see the leaning tower of Piza. I was so surprised - I thought it was located more in a busier town like setting.  However it is own area with so many other sites to visit there.  Then we climb up to the top which led us to the most stunning views!   From Livorno we made to Rome.  We took the train to City center and it was then very easy to get a taxi to our hotel.  Cute little place close to everything.  We saw so much in the 3 days we had here-Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, St. Peters Basilica, Roman Forum,  the Vatican city and Sistine Chapel and the beautiful Villa Borghese.  Whirl wind trip and I would not of changes a thing.  Best gift for my  son's 18th birthday!

I took my sister for her very first visit to Disney !  It was for her birthday, and she had the best day.  They even had the TV screen in our room programed - wishing her Happy Birthday.

  The connecting in Toronto was slow - but we are learning that is the way things go now.  We were patient and waited our turn at US immigration - no troubles.  We had made sure that we allowed lots of connecting time.  No issues with mask in the terminal or the plane. 

Once we landed sadly we didn't have the Disney Express transportation, so we ordered a Lyft.  Excellent and quick service.  We had a split stay 3 days at All Star Music and 4 days Coronado Springs.  My first visit to both.  I will recommend booking a preferred room at any of the all star resorts.  The standard rooms are a long walk at the end of a busy day.  Coronado Spring is a gorgeous resort and the food was amazing - and best food court yet. 

The parks were defiantly getting busier - no issues with making park reservations.  The My Disney Experience app is something use all the time now with the introduction of the Genie.  I am still on the fence about if it is worth it.  I for sure recommend at the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  Animal Kingdom and Epoct - not so much.

Got my Star Wars fix - both my sister and I are big fans! After not getting to see Galaxy's Edge in 2020 - it was so worth the wait!!!!  Bet ride I have been on yet.  Loved the interaction with the characters. 

Was able to ride the newly opened Ratatouille - Such a good 4D ride!!  Loved it!

Was not there for the Guardians of the Galaxy - I guess another trip is needed  :) 

Stay 7 nights at the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres in November 2021.  First trip after al the covid restrictions lifted.  We travelled from Halifax via Toronto and noticed an up take the number of people around.  Everyone was masked and we saw no issues.  Really didn't bother us to fly with the mask on.  The resort was stunning.  Only a few years old and located North of the Cancun airport.  The transfer took about 30-40 minutes and we a nice drive.  The beach was wonderful, during our visit there was little  to no sea grass.  The restaurants were all open and the food was wonderful.  We loved having access to the Elegance club.  Staff were welcoming and always masked.  I can't wait to visit again.

Another Disney Vacation!!  Loved it. 

We were booked in for 9 days over March Break.  My daughters Cheer team competed for their third time at the UCA Cheerleading Worlds held at ESPN.  We had a few days before they competed and a few days after.  This time we stayed at Disney's Caribbean beach club.  We had an amazing time.  Got to use the SkyTram, which took us from our hotel directly to Hollywood Studios or Epcot.  I hope that build more of them-much better then the bus system.  We loved the new addition of GLAXY'S EDGE.  I Was not lucky enough to get a time to enter the Rise of the Resistance,  but did rider the Smugglers Run- and it was excellent!  The whole area is fantastic.  We were the last ones at Disney before they closed the parks due to Covid-19.  It was a strange experience the last 2 days in the parks.  The hotels were closing as of the Friday, and our check out was Thursday  March 19, so we stayed and really enjoyed everything the resort had to offer.  Different ending to our Disney vacation - but I will always remember it.

March 2019   Took my sister to Egypt.  One of her big bucket list item was to visit King Tut's burial grounds!  Took an 11 day On the Go  tour that had us arrive in Cairo to see the great pyramids of Giza, the Necropolis of Saqqara , The Egyptian Museum, an experience and a half on the overnight train from Cairo to Luxor!  there we visited the Valley of the Kings and purchased the extra ticket to visit the Tomb if King Tutankhamun, Colossi of the Memnon, Queen Hatshepsut's temple and also explored the Temples of Karnak and Luxor, then we made our way to spend 3 nights in Hurghada.  An amazing experience swimming and snorkeling in the Red Sea- I would love to spend more time in this area.   

Took my daughter on an adventure for her 16th birthday.  We flew from Toronto to Dublin, and stayed 3 nights.  We visited the Dublin Zoo, Guinness Storehouse, did a ghost tour through the underbelly of Dublin, saw Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral , and explored Temple Bar area.  We then Flew to Paris and spent 2 nights.  We spent our time in Paris wandering the streets and tasting pastries and coffees.  We saw the Paris catacombs with was a very unique experience.  We did the tour up the Eiffel Tower and stayed a long while taking in the views.  our last day was spent walking from the Arch de Triumph all the way to Notre Dame Cathedral. Looking at everything we could.  After Paris we did the train to London.  The Chunnel was always something I had wanted to experience.  Very Cool !  We spent 4 days then in London, where we saw Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Shakespeare Globe theater, Rode the London Eye, Big Ben -sort of, we could see the face but was covered as it being renovated.  We did a Jack the Ripper nighttime tour and did a whole lot of shopping.  We loved The Camden markets and Carnaby Street.  It was 9 really busy days but an amazing experience for a mother - daughter trip.

October of 2018 - 10 days tour with On the Go exploring the major points of interest.  Saw Hassan II Mosque, and enjoyed dinner at Rick's Café in Casablanca, Saw the Medina and Tanneries in Fes, wandered the chaotic Souks if Marrakesh, Drove through the Atlas Mountains and spent a night in the Sahara desert in a traditional Bedouin village.  Amazing adventure-would go again in a heartbeat

Christmas Family Cruise

Visited - Princess Cays, San Juan, St. Thomas, St Kitts, Antigua, St Lucia, and Barbados

Princess Cay, Bahamas - beautiful area of the island, privately owned by Princesses parent company.  Small area of vendors, larger market just on the outside of their gated section.  Must have your passport to return back to the private area.

San Juan Puerto Rico - We spent the day exploring the the streets and the old Fort.  That night we did a night time  excursion of Kayaking through a mangroves to the bioluminescent lake.  Incredible experience ---need bug spray!!

St. Thomas - Wanted to do the Sky tram as I really wanted the kids to see it - however it did not have power restored to the area at the top of the tram.  So we walked the main town ares

St Kitts - Did a guided excursion to see local women preforming the Batic way of dyeing cloth, and over to the old fortress on top of the highest peak. Very pushy vendors as you left the dock area they got you involved with things ie: little monkeys dressed up and taking pictures before you knew they wanted money for it...be careful.  Remember to barter!

St Lucia - we stayed on board while docked here for the most part.  Left for a little walk to a small beach bar just say we had a beer (not the kids of course!)  on the beach.

Barbados - Christmas Eve we did a turtle dive (don't expect to see lots -guide said usually only a few about the main beach areas)  then snorkeled off of 3 shipwrecks and a 1hour of beach playtime.  Wonderful way to spent Christmas Eve

Antigua - Christmas morning!  Woke up to 25 degrees and sunshine.  There were not a lot of excursions operating that day so we again walked the market place just outside the dock.  It was very very busy for Christmas morning, but things closed up around 3.

Once again we loved cruising.  Entertainment amazing, food fantastic, crew so friendly, everything was so clean.  Cruising is still me go to vacation
