An Interview With Rachel Arsenault

How many years have you been selling travel?

I started my travel career with Maritime Travel in June 1999, and have been loving every minute of it!

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy spending time with my friends & family,  camping and time at the cottage,  watching live sports (especially basketball), stand up comedy acts, and of course travelling!

What type of resort activities do you favor? ie water sports, lounging by the pool, etc?

At least once a year I like to get away on a lazy beach destination.    Mexico is my favorite so far.  The quality of the resorts, the flavors of the food, and the rich culture is a big draw for me.    I really enjoy the options of relaxing by the pool,  tanning on the beach,  or enjoying the great shopping in Playa del Carmen. I do always try to make time to socialize with the locals and immerse myself in their lifestyle.

What are your favorite destinations?

Recently I have found myself focused on discovering Europe.    I just can't seem to get enough of the rich history, the diverse cultures, and unique site seeing! From luxury river cruises, escorted motorcoaches, or just getting "lost" exploring on my own,   I enjoy all forms of European travels.

What languages do you speak?

English is my primary language, but I am currently studying Spanish!

Do you have a family? and if so what type of family travel have you done?

I have a brand new baby boy named Nicholas. He was born in October 2016. We haven't travelled with him yet, but I can't wait to get started. There are dreams of taking him back to South Africa when he is around 10 years old!
