Stayed at Sandals Inn for 3 nights and Couples San Souci for 7 nights in April/May 2017.  The Sandals Inn staff go out of their way to make sure everyone is taken care of.  It is easy to catch the scheduled bus to both Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean and spend the whole day.  The food is amazing at all the Sandals resorts as well as the drinks. 

 The beach at Couples Swept Away is one of the best beaches in Jamaica by far.  Located on Negril, it is very wide and long and the water is crystal clear.  The food at Couples was also amazing and the drinks were top shelf.  The entertainment was awesome and varied to suit all type of people.  We took a trip to Rick's Café and enjoyed the great sunset and music.  I would totally recommend Couples Swept Away.

Shopping is good in Negril but the airport has the same offers and prices. 

Travelled to Punta Cana in April 2016.  This hotel is a sister hotel to the Iberostar Punta Cana.  The beach is great, the food great and the entertainment is wonderful.  Very good shows every night.  The a la carte's were exceptional and the buffets were plentiful.  The hotel rooms were clean and good size.  The buildings have multiple elevators.  The pools were pretty big and not over crowded.  All in all a great vacation and would recommend this resort.

Travelled with a group to Las Vegas the first week of December.  What a great city for everyone!  We stayed at the MGM Grand and saw KA by Cirque du Soleil.  These shows are amazing.  We did site inspections at the Luxor, Excalibur, Monte Carlo, Aria, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Delano, Tropicana, Treasure Island, Cosmopolitan, the Wynn and Encore.

Really enjoyed the High Roller at the Linq, Rock of Ages at the Venetian, and the Red Rock Canyon by Pink Jeep Tours, only 45 minutes from the strip.  We also had an awesome helicopter tour of the Strip at night by the Papillon Group.

Vegas is easy to get around and has so much to offer.  Eating out can be as inexpensive or as expensive as you want.  I love cities and Las Vegas is now

one of my favorites.

I have been to Guardalavaca area many times but this was the first time at the Brisas.  We stayed in the villa section which I found to be much more quieter and pleasant.  You do have full run of the entire resort so if you want to party then you can.  The staff were all excellent and very kind.  The resort is older but still in pretty good shape.  Rooms were very big and no noise issues.  Beach is great and nice length to walk along.  Also, you could walk into Guardalava along the water in about 15-20 minutes.  Market is has some great buys and nice to do a little haggling.  Food was okay, as variety seemed to get less as the week progressed.  I can see why it is popular for return guests.

I love Cuba, and especially Varadero.  This is a brand new resort close to the end of the peninsula.  It has 12 floors and you are either looking at the pool side or the Marina side and both are great.  The Marina side has a Miami feel.  There are apartments also located adjacent to the main hotel.  These will be "no meals" next year as they were planning a lot of stores along the waterfront.  Although, the resort is across the street from the beach, it is like being on the beach as the distance from the hotel is quite short and there is frequent golf cart service or you can walk in less than 10 minutes.  The resort has it's own beach area with beach bar and a lovely restaurant for lunch as well.  The staff were great and I would definitely go back here.  I would recommend The Level section of the hotel as it offers free Wi-Fi and an exclusive a la carte restaurant and bar and other amenities.

We flew into Glasgow with Icelandair with a short stopover in Iceland both ways.  Of course WestJet will be doing direct flights from Halifax starting next May.  We stayed in Troon, which is a great little golfing town right on the water.  We took the train several days as it is less than the bus and quicker.  Train stations are right in the center of town as well.  We attended a family wedding at the Lochside House Hotel in New Cumnock.  This hotel is rated number one for weddings in Scotland.  It was gorgeous and the wedding was fantastic.  The setting is so beautiful.  Also, took a trip to Dumfries and to Carlisle in England for some great shopping.
