I recently returned from an enchanting holiday in Sicily, and I can’t stop raving about it! My base was the stunning Club Med in Cefalu—a hidden gem nestled along rugged cliffs overlooking the azure waters of Cefalu Bay. The blend of Baroque elegance and minimalist design made it feel like a slice of paradise. And the best part? The charming town of Cefalu was just a leisurely walk away.

🌋 Mount Etna: A Fiery Encounter

A day trip to Taormina took me to the legendary Mount Etna—the world’s most active volcano. Standing there, surrounded by ancient lava flows and the raw power of nature, I felt both humbled and exhilarated. It’s a memory etched forever in my heart.

Another day, another adventure—I explored Palermo, where history and culture collide. The vibrant markets, the grandeur of Palermo Cathedral, and the tantalizing aroma of street food—it was sensory overload in the best way possible.

🇮🇹 Italy Beckons

Sicily has only whetted my appetite for more of Italy’s magic. From the art-filled streets of Florence to the romantic canals of Venice, there’s so much waiting to be discovered. I’m already planning my next Italian escapade!

My recent trip to Ireland! I travel with RIT Tours and what a fantastic experience.

Giants Causeway: Ah, the Giant’s Causeway—a place that feels like stepping into a mythical realm. Those hexagonal basalt columns, formed by ancient volcanic forces, seem to whisper secrets of time and nature. Standing there, I marveled at the interlocking stones, each with its unique story etched in stone. The sea breeze carried tales of giants and legends, and I couldn’t help but feel connected to the land and its history. 🌊🗿

And you’re right—Ireland should indeed be on everyone’s wish list. The rugged coastlines, rolling green hills, and cozy pubs where music dances in the air—it’s a symphony for the senses. 🍀

I just recently returned from a trip from Nashville.  All I can say is wow!  I loved everything about my trip.  We went to the Grand Ole Opry, we spent the afternoon on the General Jackson show boat.  We also visited Andrew Jackson Hermitage home and Belle Meade Plantation.  Talking about walking back in time.  We also visited County Music Hall of fame and RCA studio B. 

Must do is Puckett's Grocery for breakfast. 

We visited the Gaylord Resort and convention. 

 We stayed at Hotel Indigo which is right downtown.  We could walk to the honky Tonk highway. This is a must with all the live music.

I just recently returned from Ft Myers and Orlando.  This was my 1st visit to Ft Myers.  The beaches are some of the best that I have seen.  We stayed in condo at Gullwing in Ft Myers.  We went to several properties while I was there. 

We drove to Sanibel Island and had breakfast at The Island Cow.  Great breakfast and very cool atmosphere.  We then visited Tween Waters on Capitiva.  We then went kayaking f rom Tween waters.  The next day we visited the The Outrigger which recently want thru room renos.  This  is on the best beach in  Ft Myers. 

  My favorite resort in this area is Pink Shell.  Ft Myers is a very laid back atmosphere. I could see me going back and enjoying what it has to over.

We then travelled from Ft Myers to Orlando where we stayed in beautiful 8 bedroom home .  We visited SeaWorld and Universal Studios.  We saw the Vistana Village, Doubletree by SeaWorld and  Cabana Bay.  All great choices within Orlando. 

Just back from Cayo Coco Cuba.  It's been about 20 years since my last visit so I wanted to go back and see who they are fairing after the Hurricane.

The positive:

Beach and the Cuban's 

I stayed at the Hotel Playa Coco.  This hotel has great staff and beautiful smaller resort.  My room was large and clean.  It does need some touch ups but I didn't spend much time there.

 The food.  I'm not picky, but the resort needs training on  how to handle, store or prepare.  The main buffet had no AC or it was broke.  It was very hot with a lot of flies.  They had nothing on ice or covered. They had grill stations which big containers of chicken, steak and fish  not covered not cooled.   It was the same thing as the pasta station.   Do they take this back once meal time is over and put it back in the fridge?  They had soup and big chaffing dishes that we cold as soon as you went in the resort.

Just back from Mayan Riviera.   We stayed at the Barceló Maya Colonial with Transat Holidays.  I travelled with 4 other couples and everyone can't wait to go back next year!

This hotel has something for everyone!  I travelled with my 8 year old son and he loved the childrens waterpark.  The beach area is better on the Barceló Maya Caribe side which was a 5 minute walk from our hotel.  Loved that you stayed and one and had the use of 4 in total.  This hotel has great restaurant choices.  They even have a mall . You really don't have to leave this hotel.  The do offer a free double decker bus that will take you to the other hotels.  You can swim with dolphins at this resort as well.  They have a free dolphin show daily at 1130am. 

We went on tour and went zip lining, swimming in centoe and 4 wheeler thru the jungle.

We took helicopter ride over the strip with Maverick helicopters.  Amazing view.

I then went ice skating at The Cosmopolitian. We had smores over the fire.

 Took in another Cirque show Ka at the MGM..Amazing!

Visited the Stratosphere and was brave enough to do the Big Shot ride.  Wow!

 Took a cab and went to Fremont street. This really is a must for anyone going to Vegas. 

Took in a Foodie tour with Lip Smacking! Yummy!

Las Vegas has tonnes to offer.  I don't gamble, but love Vegas!

Just returned back from Rocky Mountaineer. I travelled from Vancouver to Kamloops to Banff and onwards to Calgary. I loved my time on the train! Scenery is amazing! Didn't get to see any bears as they where just waking up, but did see many eagles and coming into Kamloops we saw big horn ship along the cliffs. 

I went to Vancouver a few days before I boarded the Rocky Mountaineer to see the city. Vancouver is a must see as well. So many things to do in Vancouver. 

I did the hop on hop city tour of Vancouver. I visited the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Robson street is great for shopping and different restaurants. So many choices.
