Booked Preferred Club Jr Suite King with Private Pool. Found that we did not use private pool as much as we thought, algae was present. Room faced the quiet pool, great location. Room itself was average. Beach was nice, seaweed was cleaned morning and afternoon. Beach vendors were not an issue, a polite no was all that was required. Beach chairs and umbrellas were in rough shape on preferred pool side, better on the opposite side of property. Main pool was very busy, chairs here needed replacing as they were saggy and uncomfortable. Preferred Club Pool was smaller. Lounge here was nice with air conditioning, but food selection was lacking in flavour and selection.

Quiet pool was the best place to hang out, Bali beds were comfortable and the lounge chairs in good condition. Service here was great.

Restaurants were average, did not need reservations if you went early. Himitsu required reservations if you wanted seating at Teppanyaki. Olio restaurant was a nice change from the buffet for breakfast if you were Preferred Club. The beach grill was ok, but the pool offered a BBQ most of the days we were there. The Buffet offered a good variety of options but was on the smaller side.

Drinks were hit and miss at any of the bars if asking for frozen cocktails.

Shows were better than expected. Managed to stay up for all of them. Coco Cafe was a nice little spot for coffee at any time of day.

Staff were friendly, but we did not feel we needed a concierge/butler for our time there.

Overall a solid 4* property. Attention to detail fell short. Rooms while large seemed lacking in furnishings. Lobby washrooms needed updating. Pool and beach lounge chairs need replacing. Dining average.

Travelled to Greece with Insight Vacations and Trafalgar on a Maritime Travel FAM Nov 5-12, 2024. What a beautiful country rich with history and myths. The food was excellent, as we enjoyed local dishes. The views from the top of the Acropolis were stunning. The Parthenon was an architectural wonder. Meteora and the monasteries were amazing, the high rocks jutting out from the landscape were unreal. Delphi was a beautiful place to visit. Surrounded by olive trees, the grounds where the Oracle once spoke were breathtaking. We enjoyed lunch at an olive tree farm and learned about the process from harvest to bottle. The highlight was Olympia and the site of the where the Olympics of ancient Greece started. It was amazing to see how much had been uncovered by archeologists on their quest to unearth history. Running the track where athletes from centuries ago stood was definitely a bucket list item for me. Our last night in Olympia we were treated to a fabulous buffet, where we had a cooking class and lots of dancing. A great night indeed! We explored The Beehive Tomb of Agamemnon in the ancient civilization of Mycenae. The seaside town of Nafplion gave a hint of what the Greek Islands might look like, as we stopped to have lunch and explore the town. Back to Athens for our final night, we enjoyed dinner and music at a local restaurant. The tour director Moraig was wonderful, very knowledgeable. She took time to get to know each of us on the tour, which made it that much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Insight and Trafalgar for this Best of Greece tour.

Travelled to Scotland October 2023 with Trafalgar. Loved the vibe in Edinburgh. Beautiful old shops, restaurants and cobblestone streets. The architecture was stunning, and the size of Edinburgh Castle looming over the Old Town was impressive. Standing on the 18th green at St. Andrews with the flag whipping in the wind was an experience not to be missed if you are a golfer. The Highlands were picturesque. We were lucky to have wonderful weather while on our trip. The mist on the craggy hilltops was definitely picture worthy. The food was delicious, I even tried the Haggis! Culloden Battlefield, Eilean Donan Castle, Isle of Skye, and the boat tour on Loch Lomond were just a few of the stops we made on our way to Glasgow. There is a different feel to Glasgow, a bit hipper with loads of shops and restaurants for every palate. Stirling Castle, the Glengoyne Distillery and a traditional meal at a local farm with our own piper rounded out the tour. Would definitely go back to spend more time in each area.

Grand Panama Resort directly on beach. Stayed for two weeks in 2 bdrm condo, dog friendly. Pool near beach not heated but was good to cool off. Beach was clean and white sand, no sargassum issues. No dogs allowed on beach, but they do have a dedicated dog beach area neat Pier Park. Resort was crowded as expected for Spring Break. It had an outdoor bar/grill near pool which was reasonably priced. Front Beach Road very noisy, jacked up cars/trucks driving up and down all evening. The restaurants were pricey, but many dog friendly options. They do put an automatic gratuity on bill. Shopping and dining at Pier Park is great for those looking to get out of the sun Would likely go again, but not during school breaks.
