Travelled to Samana this past April and stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado. Excellent adults only resort at that time. As of May 1st, they allow teenagers age 14+, which isn't a bad thing at all. It is a quiet resort with great food and accommodation. No need to fight for loungers. It is situated on its own little island with great views of the ocean. Your own little paradise.

Just returned from Paris. What a beautiful city. Stayed 6 nights at the Citadines St Germain des Pres. Got to know our neighborhood quite well. Everyone quite friendly. Even though I do speak French, most people seem to have English as their second language. Went to Normandy. Definitely recommend a Juno Beach tour as it certainly brings you back to when our Canadian fellas landed there on D Day. I booked private tours for both Juno Beach and the city tour. City tour was a 1938 Citroen..great guide. Also attended a French Open tennis match and lucky enough to watch Nadal. This is a most beautiful and historic city, so much more that we didn't see but I can always go back..Oh the shopping was great too!!

Once again went to the Brier in Regina and stayed at the Residence in by Marriott. Great location, right next to Brandt Place, friendly and helpful staff. Of course enjoyed the weekend!

Did make it to the Brier and as always was a great time. Stayed at the great JAG hotel again. This hotel not only has great accommodation and food but is within walking distance to everything downtown. The staff, simply top notch.

This spring I was on a river cruise on the Danube. Spent 1 night in Budpest prior to, then sailed for 7 nights. Visited Bratislava, Vienna, Salsburg before finishing in Vilshofen. What a way to spend your time in Europe. No need to pack and unpack. Cabins have either a french balcony or a balcony, the food is out of this world, drinks are included with your meals and all excursions are included as well! Enjoyed my bike tour in Austria on a beautiful spring Sunday morning..a trip of a lifetime!

Girls trip this year was to San Antonio Texas. Stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 2 nights located right on the riverwalk. The Alamo, restaurants, pubs and shopping all right there. We then picked up a car and drove to Bandera, cowboy capital. Spent 2 nights at Dixie Dude Ranch. No cell service, TV's or wifi..wonderful. The trail rides were excellent, the food was down home cooked meals..delicious and the staff, simply amazing. Didn't matter where we went, the locals always aimed to please. Didn't expect Texans to be so friendly and polite. An absolute wonderful time.

What a great time. You meet people from all over Canada and it has such a friendly vibe. As for the curling..well our Northern Ontario team fell short this year. There is always next year. Hmm and it is in St John's Newfoundland..gotta consider that trip. We stayed at the Hampton Inn which was great. Decided to try out the casino in Hull and of course a little shopping.

Would I go to another Brier...like I said it is in St John's next year..so YES.

I come here practically every year. This is a must if travelling in or to Ontario. Niagara on the Lake is a beautiful little town about 20 min from Niagara Falls so away from the hustle and bustle of the Falls. Accomodation, food and of course the wineries are just amazing..you gotta do it! 

Decided to do a beach holiday this year since our winter wouldn't go away. In April I was at the Riu Playacar for 5 nights and truly enjoyed the place. See my resort review. Would I go back..yes I would. I also really like other resort areas in Mexico too though.

I just returned from vacation(Jun 01-11) with my husband and some friends, 10 of us in all and had an absolutely amazing time. This time we stopped for 2 nights in St John's, Nfld on our way to Ireland for a 7 night coach Tour with Royal Irish Tours. Maxxim Vacations was my choice for our arrangements in Nfld. Our hotel, JAG hotel is a wonderful hotel that I would go back to. Modern, clean, attentive staff, excellent service from everyone there. Food presentation in the restaurant was something we always looked forward to. We hated to leave the place. We also rented vehicles and had Maxxim book us a boat tour as well as a picnic at one of the Lighthouses. This is a must do. What an experience! Actually Newfoundland should be on everyone's list, the locals are very welcoming.

Our tour with Royal Irish was exactly what we were looking for, Irish Twist Pub and Heritage Tour. Dublin-Kilkenney-Cork-Killarney-Galway-Cliffs of Moher-Ennis-Dublin. Of course visited and saw lots too in between. The food was so good here. I must say pub food in Ireland is so much better than ours. You know we never had fast food anywhere and even the restaurants in the tourist areas had fresh bread and baking, homemade soups and all. Everything seems to be made from scratch. Totally impressed with the food. Simply put, a beautiful country and beautiful people. Gotta  put this on your list as well.

This year our girls trip was to the Calgary Stampede. Of course we did rent a car and drive around the province a bit. We flew into Edmonton and did our shopping at the West Edmonton Mall before departing for a little tour of the province. We visited friends in Provost Alberta which is not far from the Saskatchewan border so had to cross over. From there we headed to Calgary and drove thru the badlands(great scenery) and decided to drive right thru Calgary and headed to Banff for the afternoon and evening(even greater scenery). Once we got back to Calgary we did walking tours and of course attended quite a few of the acitivities on the Stampede grounds. What a city! All in all had a fabulous time.
