Hi Alison,   Our vacation was AMAZING!  I can't sit and email a story... easier to come in fora chat.  Thing is.... that may not happen for a bit, as there are lots of things happening in April on the weekends!  Bear with me, and I will get in to see you... with a few of the best pictures!   If anyone asks in the interm, tell them it is amazing, awesome, beautiful, and worth every penny.  If they are big breakfast people, get a package that includes breakfast, as the buffet is 32$/adult and half for kids 5 and up....  totally worth the extra!  Don't cheap out!   BTW- you don't have to pay the resort fee... details later :)   Until later,   Robyn

  Thanks for the welcome home email! All went very well, thank you! We just cannot get over those beaches – so beautiful. We took advantage of the catamaran excursion and it was a wonderful day. Snorkling, sailing, dolphins ect. Well worth the money for sure. We left our backpack on the bus upon arrival (OOPS) It was full of many important things and worth a lot of money. We had no expectations on getting it back with it’s value and guess what..... the backpack was in our room on the second night fully intact. Who knew! We were shocked! I don’t think the resort should be rated as a 5 star. We stayed at Grand Bahia Principe in the Mayan last year and it was very similar but probably better than this resort but the beach made us forget about a lot of the differences. Azul looked a bit better from the landscaping side of things and their pools. Buffet was the same for both. Driving through the 3 towns on the way back to the airport was an eye opener for certain.
