An Interview With Dianna Martin
How many years have you been selling travel?
About 15 years now! I'm usually dreaming about my next trip - I really love discovering new places and learning through those experiences. Over the years, I've been lucky to plan some really incredible trips for clients and have taken quite a few of my own. Very grateful I get to call this my job!
What are your hobbies?
Analogue photography, reading, hiking, swimming, perusing antique markets. Sharing delicious meals with family & friends is a big one for me. And of course, travelling! Really diving into the culture and history of a place makes me feel more connected and inspires everything I do.
What type of resort activities do you favor? ie water sports, lounging by the pool, etc?
If I’m at a resort, you’ll usually find me swimming in the ocean, walking along the coast, snorkeling, or heading off-site to explore and immerse myself in the local surroundings. When travelling elsewhere - say, through Europe - I’m happiest wandering through old cities, visiting museums, and eating delicious food. These days, I find myself drawn to a more active style of travel and would love to do a cycling tour next.
What are your favorite destinations?
So hard to choose! Italy, Greece and Spain are always at the top of my list. Portugal holds a special place in my heart, as it’s part of my roots. New Zealand is quite special - so much rugged beauty and adventure (I must return one day)! Lastly, for a quick escape, I'd have to say Mexico. It truly has it all: vibrant art and culture, beaches, incredible food, and effortlessly chic resorts. I'd go back in heartbeat. That's my answer for now though this list continues to change.
What languages do you speak?
